• Psychic Danger Society

Mystery, psychic prediction, community, and tea. Come, spend a little time in Beaumontcamp, a small town secretly protected by a group of community-minded ladies. As the Psychic Danger Society they keep their neighbours safe from any and all danger...even if that makes the danger worse, and more fantastic.

Inside its covers you will find:

  • 5.5 x 8.5", 48 pages, fully illustrated in chic black and white, PDF;
  • Excellent and unique game mechanics, where dice are rolled at the beginning of the night, as predictions, and then spent slowly through the course of play;
  • Designed for 3 to 6 players, including its GM;
  • Good for single-sessions or "one-shots", but richer still in a series, as you get to know your community all the better.

Tied into The Psychic Danger Society is a lovely small town setting. The Society has been protecting Beaumontcamp from danger perhaps a little too much, and the town has a kind of karmic debt, which is to say your mysteries may start small and ordinary, but as you fail cases (which will happen) they become increasingly supernatural. The night may have started with young Jamal slipping on his skateboard and breaking a tooth, but now the new mayoral candidate is secretly a vampire. Only you, women of community-minded interest, can save your town!

The cover of The Psychic Danger Society, covered in dice

"Gezellig is a word in the Dutch language that doesn’t just strive to capture a sense of coziness, but also the warm feelings you get from spending time with beloved friends and family. Somehow James has managed to make a game that seems to capture a certain kind of familiar softness and convivial spirit, and it does so in the context of solving supernatural mysteries before they happen with the neighborhood watch. The Psychic Danger Society is, in a word, gezellig. I love it very much and think of it both fondly, and often." Of course there are nuances to that support. You could choose to dive a little deeper into the Society by becoming a member, or even reveal your past as one of its founder."
